Personally, I don't care if they add them or not. I'd just like to understand why they didn't add them in the first place. Like what is their thinking? I feel like the map could handle Gliders.
The idea is to have a unique experience on each map. Deston offers a unique new feature, ascenders / ascender towers which allow for map traversal unlike on any other map. With the reusable parachutes and ascender towers, the team behind Deston said that they feel that there won't be a need for gliders / emergency pickup in order to traverse the map.
Things can always change though, so if the gliders are really widely requested, I'm sure the team can reconsider!
Gliders on Deston is highly exploitable. Imagine you’re fighting in Ripton on one of those accessible building rooftops. There comes a guy on a gliders and he parachutes on those inaccessible skyscraper rooftop. He has an advantage over literally everyone.
Yeah, adding Gliders would introduce some new balancing headaches for sure.
