Come in Squad 23, Do You Need Assistance?

New Team Tactic Upgrades Include Assist Tracking

PUBG survival becomes a group project when you play Squads and Duos, everyone has to pull their weight. Clear communication, moving as a unit, hazing the rookie, and of course pulling off cheeky and fun shenanigans. Update 8.3 has introduced new improvements designed to improve team tactics.

In every PUBG squad there’s players who help bring home the chicken with some clutch assistance and it’s about time those players got their credit. Tracking assists was originally limited to being tracked in the Ranked Mode recap. Meow assist tracking in the recap has been added to all modes along with assist messaging allowing survivors to see when their assists happen in real time. To earn an assist, a player must have dealt at least 25 damage to an enemy who is then killed by one of their teammates.

Meow that you can track who’s lending a helping hand, we figured this would be a good time to let teammates know who is in need of assistance. This latest update has introduced Teammate Combat Indicators. You’ll notice these in the HUD and they will let you know when a squad mate is engaged in combat. Will these indicators eliminate teammates screaming for help when they’re getting shot at? Probably not, but if you have to mute a teammate for yelling about a liter of cola, you’ll still be able to know when they’re in trouble.

Being able to track who comes through with the assists and when your teammates are in trouble will bring your super squad closer together. Maybe you guys can make a nickname for your squad using your names. Here’s to team harmony, good luck on the battlegrounds.
