I realize that bots are often a major complaint. I can agree that it can be problematic if matches are entirely filled with bots. I understand the importance of having real players in every match.

However, on the flip side, I am a pretty average player, despite my effort. I die far more often than I kill, despite the ~500+ hours I have in the game. I have to say that the increase in bot presence has enabled me to get a bit of a warm-up early game, and not feel so terrible if I do die.

Thankfully, the match always comes down to real players vs real players, so I've never had a victory just handed to me. But it has at least been satisfying to get some action before ultimately getting shot in the face by a level 500 player with an AWM. And I've been able to complete certain battle pass challenges that I previously wouldn't have even attempted (I still think it's a bit too grindy though--only made it to level 24 despite completing most of the weekly challenges, but that's another story).

So, while I do think it's something that we should keep a close eye on, and AI behavior should be improved to be more human-like, I just wanted to say that this has prevented me from rage quitting after 10 horrible matches in a row, which is what usually happens to me. Also, I like the new map and comeback arena. Feels good to have a new large map to play on with some new mechanics.

Edit: I wanted to clarify that this is my experience in solos on the NA server. I almost never see bots in Squads, and I'm okay with that.

Hey sevansup. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience! I am really glad that you are enjoying your time in normal matches. The team that is working on bots does not plan to stop improving them.

There are a lot of upcoming improvements which will make them feel more human, be able to do more things players can and at the same time not be overpowered.

I understand it sucks if one ends up with more bots in a less popular gamemode during early hours and we are working with other teams to find solutions for that as well.
