McLaren Elite as well as additional McLaren skins cost additional tokens.

Everything but the base vehicle specs (top speed / acceleration / hitpoints) changes. The sound, the hitbox and design.
Yep, I was on Wacky's stream yesterday when he was testing it out. The amount of McLaren coins you need (and you get them from crates and the season pass), wound up being about $300 for the basic skin - MORE if you want all colors and options.
For *EVERYTHING* (all colors, brakes, and rims) it was over $1000 to unlock
Edit: You would THINK that selling a car skin for like, $10 or $20 would get them a lot more money than this prohibitively expensive bullshit.
To get the basic skin you need 2000 Tokens. Purchasing and completing the Crafter Pass for 990 G-Coin (Roughly 10 USD) will net you 2015 Tokens.
That's not what I saw on Whacky's stream. Literally watched him and everyone in the chat do the math.

Additionally, you'll get 15 Tokens per level after completing the pass (leveling from 50 until 70) to a total of 300 Tokens which comes to a total of 2315. The vehicle skin requires 2000 Tokens.
What's the difference between standard and elite?
The elite can equip additional paintjobs and have its doors open in the lobby on the main menu.
