Almost every BR game has an option for this. Apex with respawn beacons or Warzone with Gulag and the opportunity to buy a teammate back. Opponents are only focused on finishing a player instead of winning the fight. This very often takes the fun out of the game.

Maybe try to implement a function like this instead of developing new weapons, maps or anything else.
