[2020] Cannot start the game

Reinstalled PUBG after a long break, hoping its better but cannot get the bloody game to even launch, its installed, verified (every time I verify, it says one file failed to validate) and then when I launch again, I am not getting the first time installed screen, it just stops. Any ideas? And I have uninstalled and reinstalled it as well, same issue.
