I've stopped spending money on anything else other than 5 dollar passes. The monetization models are too predatory and deserve no promotion, however, the passes have improved recently and are offering the most bang for your buck yet.

☝️🤓 $4,99 get you:

Not really, no. Credit where credit is due. The passes went through ups and downs over the years and now they are the best they have ever been in terms of value.
I don't remember exactly anymore but the dollar value of all items you get from the pass is something around 200-220 dollars. A schematic costs around 100-110 dollars, artisan tokens about 25 dollars, 500 gcoin 5 dollars, using store prices for items and sets you can assign around 5-10 dollar value to the skins you get so if you are a fan of the game and you actively use all its systems, this pass holds a high value.
Obviously the more things you don't care about / interact with, the less valuable the pass will be to you.

Their store items, crafter passes and collabs, workshop skin events & the hideout systems (basically all other monetized systems) are predatory and deserve no praise or promotion.

Is there really any credit due? Or are you just trying to paint a positive picture for the game you want to create content for? I am a fan of your content, but this kinda shit sort of makes me feel like you're trying to get people to spend money on PUBG, even with your disclaimer at the end. Supporting one type of monetization supports all types.

As a content creator, shouldn't you be speaking for the community and pushing for people to NOT spend money until PUBG fixes issues that theyre seemingly ignoring?

My post is coming off a bit harsh, its not necessarily suppose to be harsh, but I do not support giving pubg more money until they actually make changes to support the community, not their bottom line.

Is there really any credit due?

  • Yes, their 5 dollar pass is f*cking awesome compared to everything else they've done monetization wise, which should be called out and I was the first one to call out and make sure people are aware of the deceptive practices.

Or are you just trying to paint a positive picture for the game you want to create content for? I am a fan of your content, but this kinda sh*t sort of makes me feel like you're trying to get people to spend money on PUBG, even with your disclaimer at the end.

  • Writing about game news, creating content, having passion about the game does not mean you are only supposed to highlight the bad things.
  • I actually highlight negative things about the game far more often than positive, but you can't know that if you don't follow my activity.
  • I left PUBG's "Known Survivor" program for small streamers which provided us with monthly 5,000 G-Coin as thanks for being active members of the community when they released the Lamborghini collab. From that moment I was done spending money on any content/system in the game except the 5 dollar pass as well as done giving away G-Coin on a Monthly basis because that WAS an active promotion of spending on systems other than passes in game because you can not buy survivor passes with G-Coin anymore.
  • I don't stream pubg for a living. I don't only stream pubg either. I don't even stream with aim to earn money or see this as potential source of income. I play all sorts of variety games on a daily basis besides pubg, and I'll stream pubg as long as I like playing it.
  • I stream because I like the chat interaction and I like building the Onlyfins community. I stream because I love talking to people - does not matter to me which game I play in the background. If PUBG ceased to exist, it would suck because I remain a fan of the game but I wouldn't be bothered otherwise, there is a whole sea of games out there to stream.

Supporting one type of monetization supports all types.

  • No. It doesn't. Each monetization system has their own performance metrics and is individually impacted by its performance and updated. This is why the hideout system isn't really changing much at all whereas workshop / collabs / crafter pass monetization schemes are changing with every update trying to be more successful.

As a content creator, shouldn't you be speaking for the community and pushing for people to NOT spend money until PUBG fixes issues that theyre seemingly ignoring?

  • I do my best to highlight the good, the bad & the ugly. I won't tell anyone how to spend their money though. What I can do is provide information about how the deceptive, predatory systems work. Same goes for the good things, the new content, mechanics, bugs.

My post is coming off a bit harsh, its not necessarily suppose to be harsh, but I do not support giving pubg more money until they actually make changes to support the community, not their bottom line.

  • There's obviously a multitude of things that could be done to improve things. There's lots to ask for. I'll always share my frustration with X, Y or Z from time to time but you won't see me sit on and off stream every day and yap and repeat myself and talk about things I dislike.
  • I'm here to enjoy myself, play things that bring me joy as long as they bring me joy and make people's days around me less sh*tty if possible at the same time.
  • Besides, being constantly negative about something sounds crazy on too many levels and I won't get into any of that here because this is an already long answer.

Take care!

That's fine I don't give a damn. The circle jerkers will do their thing. This is their safe space. I'll continue doing mine
