Does anyone know why Deston has been removed from 2 map pools basically back to back? Originally Deston was supposed to be dominantly in the queue due to data suggesting Miramar was being left by people alot but that was apparently scraped due to complaints so why did Deston get removed again as if it had been dominant in the map queue?

The short of it is: Erangel, Miramar & Taego are ranked maps, therefore they remain in the normal map rotation while all other maps are rotated in and out on a monthly basis.
The team is looking at data and user sentiment and the improvement of the map rotation system is an ongoing thing.
Why are there only 5 maps in the rotation if 3 of them are locked? I assumed maps being in ranked meant they would be more open to removal not less because there is always a place to play them no matter what. Why does a map bring in ranked require it to be locked in unranked?
This was the case of a player sentiment that lead to devs decision to keep the ranked maps in at all times. It was to do with the difficulty in practising new changes that occur on these maps, in the normal gamemode before playing ranked.
Hey Steve when are OC queues going to be merged again? It is extremely slow these days due to the seperate vikendi queues.
The featured map will be removed with the upcoming 21.2 update in less than 2 weeks.
Is sanhok 2.0 ever coming back? Maybe alongside current sanhok. Maybe 50/50 chance to get either
I do not think that it will. Further improvements will be made to the existing map as new features come in.
