I was playing PUBG last weekend and decided to purchase 5 levels out of the PUBG in game store because the pass was coming to an end and I wanted to get the last few levels. When I tried, the transaction was rejected and I then checked my account had money in it and tried the transaction again, this time it went through.
Fast forward to Tuesday and BAM big red banner on Steam that I had an account alert. I clicked on it and there was two messages. The first said that the transaction was reversed and that I now had a 1 month Steam ban and my items that I had purchase had been removed. I saw it was for the same amount of credit I loaded to buy the levels on PUBG. It also said that if the funds clear I would be released from my ban and my items will be returned. The second message said that I had a permanent developer ban from PUBG, and said that Steam can’t help me and that I should contact the game developer.
So far I have sent 4 messages to Steam without even 1 reply. I have also sent a support ticket to PUBG with no luck other than an automated reply saying they would look at it. I have spent a lot of money on this game, skins, passes etc. I literally play every day. This is a massive shock to the system. Worst of all, the money cleared and has gone to Steam/PUBG and all I have is a fat VACBAN link on my Steam profile and am unable to play my favorite game.
And before anyone says “Just get another Steam account”, I refuse, because that means I’ll have to buy the game again and if I’m getting done dirty like this they are not getting another cent from me.
TLDR: bank had a glitch with a transaction and now I’m Vacbanned from PUBG permanently
Update: My steam account is unlocked but my in game ban still stands
