2021 Cow Skins Available Now

2021 is here (finally!) and some of you may be wondering where our sudden fascination with cows has come from. Among the skins available right now there is a slew of fur and leather pieces decked out in cowhide print. While we’re happy to please cow and dairy enthusiasts, these skins are actually a way to ring in the new year Chinese Zodiac style. 2021 is the year of the Ox, which can also be represented by a cow or bull. This year we decided to go all in on the cow.

According to legend, the Jade Emperor held a race that required the animals of the Zodiac to cross a river. The ox was a favorite to win as a natural born swimmer however, the ox gave the rat a ride on its back. When the pair reached the river bank, the rat jumped off and claimed first place. Despite being tricked, the ox didn’t make a stink about it and instead accepted its fate as second.

It is said that those born in the year of the ox are dependable, determined, ambitious and strong. Apparently they make great teammates, always eager to lend a hand and often patient as well. Everyone could use an ox on their squad. If you are an ox looking for ideal squad partners your compatibility is high with rats, snakes and roosters. Steer clear of tigers, dragons, horses and sheep.
