I always uninstall the game and reinstall it whenever it patches because for me it takes less time to redownload the game than to wait for the patch to install. However, when I did this I was confronted with a whopping 107gb requirement for the game instead of the 50 or 60gb it used to take, is it just me or did it increase for you guys too?

We are making improvements to how we manage updates, to reduce the time (and data) spent updating. This was an unfortunate issue where we didn’t clean up old pak files during our staging build.
We will be adding a step in our release validation to ensure the shipping size is acceptable to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
