Knife suspects are interesting but based on my experiences with them in the supporter's alpha they need tweaking with the Rules of Engagement. You can receive an "Unauthorized use of Deadly Force" penalty after telling them to drop the knife and for them physically touching you. I thought this was odd so I decided to do another test in a similar manner but this time waiting to make sure.
I entered a room, a knife suspect ran at me, I then yelled for compliance and they still came towards me, I yelled again and then I got slashed, after getting slashed I killed them. When I reported the body I received "Unauthorized use of Deadly Force".
Rules of Engagement when a suspect is carrying a knife should be based around their refusal to drop the knife with combination of their proximity to you. Because right now it's looking like they'll just be a pain in every game mode except for Raid.
