[2021] At my wits end trying to figure out this games technical problems

Hey everyone, just bought the game today and was able to play a few single player games before coming into a huge issue. Whenever i choose a game mode to play, it now always does the same thing. The loading screen to Headquarters begins, it gets too 100%, and then....nothing.

The game just remains on that loading screen while my fps pops up on screen and the music cuts in, and I'm just sitting here in the lobby indefinitely. Does this for single player as well. I've been trying to figure this out for hours and any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm super stoked to play this game and it frustrates me that i can't get it working.
