When you join a tournament with a 3 stack, you can customize your team name which is cool. Unfortunately, there seems to be zero oversight over what's allowed and what's not.

I've seen immature things like cumlords, big dicks, etc. Whatever. Idiots will be idiots.

But... We have to draw the line somewhere. Things like "women moe lesters" or "kill yourself" can not be allowed. Especially right now when mental health disorders and domestic abuses are reaching incredibly sad levels.

I only started playing recently and heard that RL toxicity was bad, but I come from Overwatch so... Didn't really affect me much until this. Molestation and other abuses are serious matters and should not be encouraged nor joked about.

Triggers work in crazy ways. It's one thing to see people openly stream on twitch telling people their mom is xxxx but it's another to openly advocate harm, bigotry, racism, and abuse.

I'm not a SJW or anything, but, having talked to many who suffered these unfortunate circumstances, it's difficult to just sit here and pretend I didn't see it.

For those affected by these issues, please consider seeking help. The internet opened up so many PROPER resources. Don't be scared to talk about it, and, if needed, work towards changing the circumstances you're in. Unfortunately, it's unlikely evil people will suddenly stop being evil.

If this is against subreddit rules, I apologize. Is there a way to add to the flair or something like "trigger warning"?

Just one example. https://i.imgur.com/8izDz1v.jpg

Edit: is it just me or are homophobic slurs especially rampant in Rocket League? I see them even openly used by Twitch "streamers". I've run across them in every other game but RL seems to have way more. Is this possibly because cultural differences in acceptance as I see more Central and South American players in RL then any other game? It's really sad...

Edit 2: to those agreeing that there is a line to be drawn when it comes to being facetious, you are a positive force. To those who disagree and think it's okay to make fun of certain people or situations, I understand feeling sympathy for something you haven't had to deal with can be hard. I hope you never have to deal with such a thing. Just be kind; be a human. Believe it or not, you don't HAVE to be toxic.

Hey there!

It's disappointing that some folks in the community choose to abuse the game like this but we do take things like this seriously. It really does make a really big difference to us when folks like you report things and file tickets about these types of incidents. It allows us to go in and take action to prevent things like this from happening in the future.

Thank you for your response! Glad to hear it's taken seriously. Is reporting under club name the appropriate in game reporting feature? Or possibly will there be a report tournament name feature somewhere in the future? Or is the best recourse submitting online tickets with picture proof? I assume in game reporting flags the accounts much easier for action to be taken.

Reporting under club name is sufficient. When you send in a report it essentially allows us to look at everything from that game. So if it happened during a tournament, we'll be able to see the tournament club name. You're also always welcome to send in a ticket to support with screenshots, we can look things up this way as well, but the best course of action is utilizing the in-game reports.
