Why are old tournament rewards being sold in the item shop?

Right now there are 3 items being sold in the item shop which are previous tournament rewards: breakout ombre from season 5 and breakout 10dril from season 6 are in the "dragon breaker" bundle and X-devil grim weeper from season 12 is a part of the real money "season 15 veteran pack".

At first I assumed they were ok with selling old tournament items in the shop, since it doesn't make much sense to lock away hundreds of items from newer players, but yesterday RL status retweeted this post (7th image) confirming the chemergy boost had to be removed from fortnite's "cross-game" item shop, (because for whatever reason rocket league items are sold in fortnite's shop now) because it was a previous tournament reward.

Making this post so psyonix can fix their mistake, since nobody else seems to be talking about this.

TLDR psyonix/epic recently removed an epic old RL tournament item from the Fortnite shop, but there are still three instances of this in the actual RL shop so they're just contradicting themselves.
