One of the things this community has been highly critical of in the past has been Psyonix's lack of communication and transparency. The road maps were great for this because not only did it get us excited for future additions to the game, but it allowed us to hold you accountable when you didn't deliver on something previously promised. I feel like if you are going to have road maps, we should at least get them twice a year at a minimum, and 7 months is over half a year...
If you all won't be releasing new road maps, then it would be at least nice for the community to know, but if that's not the case, then what's taking so darn long???
