Are you playing in a Middle East server while in the Southeast United States? Because that may be the source of the problem.

Thanks! Going to look into this further, may be an issue of Recommended putting you outside of the US for some reason. For now, I would not use Recommended, and would just keep it to USE.
Playing in OCE yesterday hadn't waited longer than 30 seconds (roughly) for the match (ranked 2s) to be found. Got a high latency warning and found I'd been put on USE. Didn't report server as it was stable and ping was as expected for that distance. Checked after the game and had region set to recommended. I have changed it to OCE now. I have not encountered this before.
PS still won the game.
