So around a year ago rocket league made the rule that to access trading you needed to be at least level 50 and level 100+ could only do 3 trades a day. The trading community was outraged and a few days later pysonix Devin made the statement “we’ve listened to your feedback and made the restrictions more lenient. Changing it to level 30 to access trading and 100+ unlimited trades. Well last night a year later they’ve u turned this and turned it back to the original requirements however they’ve not announced this anywhere most likely because they know they’ll get backlash. This is clear evidence pysonix/epic DOES Not care about us as a community and they’ll do anything to squeeze money out of us.

Here are the new requirements

Level 0-49 = no trades 51-99 = 3 trades a day 2k credits max 101-249 = 10 trades a day 10k credits max 250+ = unlimited trades

This is a backwards update and it’s such a shame despite being aware this wasn’t received well the first time they secretly change it in hopes no one notices.

Hi folks, I dug into this over the last few hours, and we did not make any changes to trading rules in the game client.

What happened: We were doing some article housekeeping on the support website related to changes that came with v2.22, like accounting for the new enable/disable trading checkbox under the Interface Tab in the Settings menu. When this article was updated, details on the older, original trading restrictions were added in from some out-of-date documentation.

That article (which moderator iggyiggz1999 also linked to in a comment earlier) has been updated again with the correct information. To reiterate, this was only a support website mix-up, and the rules are still the same ones we put in place based on community feedback in April 2021.

It is indeed very odd they did not announce this anywhere.

While you are the first to bring it up on the subreddit (I think), I would not be surprised if this is gonna cause quite some confusion.

It does seem like they updated the support page with the correct information though:
