After changing his username today and partaking in a trade his item was ghosted and he just up and lost it. His middleman is trusted and we dont think anything shady happened. But the item he was trading were his White Zombas and now they're just gone. Now yes there is no way to tell if his changed name is what could have affected it but he has been trading items just fine before changing the name on that very same day.
Might be a good idea to run some test trades with your friends before making any serious trades.
