I've been playing rocket league for almost 2 years now. This year me and 2 friends made an esports club for our school. We are all seniors so we basically had the mentality of "f*ck it what do we have to lose." We got a teacher to be our "coach" and some how the principal to approve of us so she got support from IT. We competed in the playVS fall 2019 season and made it to quarter-finals. We're not amazing or anything but for our first time we did pretty decent(we only like champ 2). Well we did good enough that our head technology director bragged about us to the school board and now we are officially supported and recognized by the district and get an official budget. There is even talk of them building an esports arena(which will have some sort of memorial for me and my team for being the start of all this) I may be graduating this year but I paved the way for a new generation of kids to play Rocket League competitively in highschool and I'm honestly really happy about it and just felt like sharing. I love this game and everything that has happened because of it. I don't know if this type of post is allowed or if the flair is wrong I really don't post here(or anywhere) very often
