So I get that they are proud of not understanding other opinions and they think their opinion is the only correct opinio, but how I'm suppose to understand "adapt or die"? "Learn how to avoid demos or you will be demoed", or "learn how to enjoy demos or give up on the game"?

Both interpretations make no sense to me: 1. Big part of why I find demos annoying is that's something that usually goes from behind the camera, and even when I manage to avoid, I'm still out of position and my momentum is dead. Also I can't do anything about my teammate being demoed and turning 2 vs 2 vs 2 vs 1 for few seconds. 2. It's impossible to start liking something just because you are told to do so or because you want to. Also telling people to stop playing the game because it have one element they don't like it's not something I would expect to hear from community manager, about their own game.

Everybody who call those posts a win: reverse the situation and assume you don't like mechanic we are speaking about. Are you happy with how your opinion and experience is handled? Because while I'm far from hating demos, maybe because I'm relatively good at dodging (from all that experience from dodging the ball :V), and I can't say I'm happy with such approach.

I think there are a few things you can do to tweak your game to avoid getting stuck in demo loops (or whatever you want to call them). You need to keep your head on a swivel, be aware of where everyone is on the field while your going for a shot, rotating, etc. But it also applies to your team. I said this in a different reply, but if you're stuck in a demo loop, your teammates should be disrupting whoever is doing the demoing so you have the opportunity to re-engage.

For clarity, I don't mind demoing/being demoed. I just believe that demo chasing specifically shouldn't be celebrated in the community because 9/10 it's one player trying to piss off/annoy/upset another player, and I think gamers should treat other gamers better than that.

You say that as though that's not a 100% legitimate strategy. In hockey, there's a team role called "pest", sometimes also known as "rat". That player's primary job is to get under the skin of the players on the opposing team. He might score a few decent goals now and then (Brad Marchand, for example), but the reason why his coaches love him is because he will make the opposing team furious, and their play will suffer as a result. His other, more skilled teammates, will take care of the scoring.

For these kinds of players, letting them know that their demo-chasing pisses you off is going to do nothing but encourage them to keep doing it. I'm sure if you ask people like Woody or Bumpo, they'll tell you that the second someone whines about being demoed, they're going to go out of their way to demo that player as much as possible.

It's worth noting that if you know how to dodge demos/bumps, you'll easily take demo chasers out of the play. Their strategy really relies on them actually getting the demo, and if they miss, you're now behind them and they have zero chance of getting back into the play. The best way to get someone to stop demoing you is to score on them every time they try.

(Brad Marchand, for example)

As a Bruins fan, I approve of this post.
