With the new update and all its changes came one, which nerfed the bots more than ever.

As everybody knows, bots are quite useless most of the time unless they manage to pull of some lucky saves or shots. They could not replace a real player by any means.

But one thing they were good at was hitting the ball on kickoff when no real player was in that position.

And that's what I want to adress today; Casual has taken a big hit by the new bots that cannot do a kickoff anymore since they won't boost!

You are in a compromised situation and have no power when the bot is in a kickoff-position and I've seen numerous games in which the team basically disintegrated once a player left because bots are now incapable of the one very basic task they could achieve, in order to ensure both teams had a somewhat fair chance.

Casual matches now tend to be over way sooner than previously due to teammates leaving once they have a bot. This makes warming up or, well, casual plays, less eventful and fun, regardless if you're playing solo or with a team, which stands contrary to what casual is supposed to be. A fun enviornment.

I therefore suggest two solutions:

  1. Bring back the old bots and let them play the same as before.
  2. Assign them to the MMR for the match.

Beginner Bots 0-267 MMR (Bronze)

Rookie Bots 268 - 444 MMR (Silver)

Pro Bots 450 - 626 MMR (Gold)

All-Star Bots from 630 MMR up (Platinum +)

This will help both newcomers to have fair matches and not be taken advantage of by their, or the enemies bots and also give the gameplay more depth where the bots "level up" with the progress of new users, while already better players will not be (negatively) affected by changes made to the bots like we have to experience now.

Bot Difficulty is already supposed to scale with the MMR of the lobby. You shouldn't see no boost bots unless you're at very low casual MMR. This may be a bug, I will pass this along for investigation.
