Hello Hello! We hope you're all enjoying the Anniversary Update, and thank you to everyone who gave us feedback in the Issues Megathread. (We are working on some issues that are cataloged in that thread, will have more information on fixes soon.)

I did want to offer some clarity on the Engine Audio, specifically the OEM Engine Audio selections, and which Battle-Cars they belong to. For those who want to use an original Battle-Car with its un-modified audio (or you like some of the OG Engine Audio and want to use it on another Battle-Car), this brief guide should help. See below.

  • OEM-A: Octane | Breakout
  • OEM-B: Hotshot | Paladin | X-Devil
  • OEM-C: Gizmo | Venom
  • OEM-D: Backfire | Merc | Road Hog

Every other car's Engine Audio in Rocket League has its own name, and may also have a "v2" version that has been updated. So while Octane uses OEM-A, Octane ZSR has its own distinct Engine Audio, which is why it's listed separately in-game.

Isn't OEM-D the dominus too?

That is correct! However up until a certain point all the cars were sharing these four engines. So we just listed the original cars that wouldn't be updated with a unique engine.

These cars still share the V2 versions of the OEM engines.
