After a thorough investigation, we have determined that Collegiate Rocket League (CRL) player Busse has repeatedly violated the CRL and Rocket League Code of Conduct. As a result, Busse is immediately banned from all tournaments hosted by Psyonix until July 1, 2021.
Ruling
Busse's actions in the past both on Discord and in-game have repeatedly violated CRL Rules (https://esports.rocketleague.com/crlrules/). These infractions are resulting in a competitive ban from all Psyonix-operated tournaments, effective immediately, until July 1, 2021. Due to the repeated nature of the infractions during the 2020 competitive year, we have bypassed issuing a warning, resulting in an immediate ban.
Applicable Rules:
Section 7.1.3 of the CRL Rules states: "Players shall not behave in a manner (a) which violates these Rules, (b) which is disruptive, unsafe or destructive, or (c) which is otherwise harmful to the enjoyment of the Game by other users as intended by Psyonix (as decided by Psyonix). In particular, Players shall not engage in harassing or disrespectful conduct, use of abusive or offensive language, game sabotage, spamming, social engineering, scamming, or any unlawful activity (“Toxic Behavior”)."
Additionally, sections 7.1.1 and 7.1.2 of the RLCS rules state: "7.1.1 All Players must conduct themselves in a way that is at all times consistent with (a) the Code of Conduct in this Section 7 (“Code of Conduct”) and (b) the general principles of personal integrity, honesty, and good sportsmanship."
7.1.2 Players must be respectful of other Players, Tournament Administrators, spectators, and sponsors (as applicable)."
Closing
We take player conduct seriously in all competitive leagues and tournaments. Any player that breaks our zero-tolerance rules will be investigated and appropriate punishment will follow. We take the sportsmanship of our leagues extremely seriously and will continue to be vigilant when enforcing league rules. We reserve the right to administer further punishment at our sole discretion.
