I have been playing and studying this game now for about 3 years, and have never seen anything like this. I hopped into the 1s playlist for the first time in a while and was matched up against a suspicious player that was playing on a "plat 3" account. I rarely ever play 1s, so my rank is lower than my actual skill level. Granted, I'm not a very good 1s player but I think a mid-Champ 2s player won't lose 13-0 to a "Plat 3" in 1s unless something suspicious happened. As the game went on, many red flags were thrown and pretty easily seen: 1. He could speed flip. 2. he could air dribble. 3. he won every 50. Every one. Not a normal "plat 3." This, obviously, could just be a smurf or someone boosting someone. However, I then noticed his touches being very unusually strong. For example, he scored (1 of his 13) by simply turning into the ball and it booming across the field and into my net at an abnormal speed for the way he hit it. He also was moving at an unusual speed. There were several times when I was heading for the side boost after a kickoff, undoubtedly going to beat him to the boost, and he would just zoom past me at above supersonic speed. This cheat wasn't just for offense. Whenever I would be dribbling or setting up a shot, my frames would skip to him just counterattacking or recovering out of nowhere. This may just sound like he outplayed me (a lot, by 13 goals actually), which I initially thought. But, after the game was over, he, toxically (he was for the whole game), told me to save the replay and watch it like a game film. I thought, okay, I'll watch his perspective and see why this plat 3 just shut me out 13-0. Ironically, viewing the replay crashed my game, which is why he wanted me to save it so bad. Somehow, I have no idea how, but this player was able to cheat in a ranked game and make it so I couldn't watch the replay. I feel that the dev team needs to know about this before this mysterious cheat spreads.

/u/Psyonix_Ted, there seems to be weird behavior in this replay file: https://ballchasing.com/replay/5a5f8e6e-a13d-4d43-a05c-fba8ea18fc5e#watch

The claim is that the opponent player is cheating, and there are instances that may allude to it. At 4:50~ish (timer on the bottom in the website's replay viewer) the boost count doesn't seem to go down properly. As well as 6:20~ish when he's boosting on the wall.

The problem is that the actual replay file itself crashes on both Epic and Steam, so I can't be sure if there is even an issue without viewing it in-game.

It'd be much appreciated if this can be investigated further. Both on what is causing the replay to crash and whether or not there is some cheating that can take place. I know cheating is highly, highly unlikely (nigh impossible), but when there is actually some evidence I think it's worth looking into.

Your comment was good timing! I was actually just reading the thread. I'll take a gander and see what I can find
