The screenshot is pretty self-explanatory, but apparently, these two guys are getting around a text filter when naming their team in a tournament by simply adding a 1 in place of the I. Kind of a complete failure by the devs to not have this manually filtered, as there is literally no excuse, and is a pretty common workaround.

When I told them to enjoy their future ban, they said "yk how many times weve heard that". So basically they have been doing it for a while and being reported while doing it but Psyonix has taken no action whatsoever on one of the most clearcut cases I've ever seen. This might be because there is no way to report an offensive team name but only a club name. I did report them online but I don't think they will bother making a change unless there is some support.

Since the subreddit requires me to post a suggestion: Implement a manual filter, or at least one that works and filters out obvious slurs. There's pretty much no excuse for this to not be manually filtered since it's one of the most obvious workarounds in existence.

Ok end of my rant

Hey there! No, offensive team names aren't allowed. We've since updated our filter to include this. Generally, when you report this sort of stuff to our support team it gets escalated to us so we can update filters appropriately.

Thank you for the response. The filters were updated today?

mhm. It usually takes a little before that is reflected in-game. If you see stuff like this in-game you're always welcome to shoot over a DM so we can add it to our filters. The reality of offensive names in-game is that players are going to continually attempt to be subversive and bypass our filters. Alerting us to this helps us keep things updated.
