[2019] What's the point of patches?

A patch was just released to correct some connectivity issues. Now I'm getting way more latency problems and dropped from matches. Just received a 5 minute ban because of this. What's the point of putting updates out if they don't actually correct the problem.

Hey there, the recent update did not include any network connectivity adjustments.
