Almost 6 years ago I started playing Rocket League after watching a few of my friends play. At first I thought it was kind of goofy and not something I'd be super interested in. Deciding to give it a try, I sat down, grabbed the controller, and went on to score my first goal in my first game. Seeing my gamer tag light up across the screen afterwards was so awesome. I was instantly hooked. I experimented with different game modes in RL, over the next few months and found myself settling into Snow Day, I really enjoyed it. There was already a small community of players established and I immediately threw myself in the mix with those players. In April of 2017, I started playing with this person with the gamertag BATGIRL JAY. Little did I know at the time that she would become my favorite person to play with and one day become my wife. We played night after night for over a year, finally meeting in 2018. I, a small town Kansas kid, moved out to Los Angeles, CA soon after meeting. It was an incredible journey for me. Something that was so out of my comfort zone but exciting all at the same time. Moving forward to October 31, 2019, we said our "I Do's" in Downey, CA and have been happily married ever since. I knew from the first time I picked up the game that it was something special. I did not, however, know just how special it would end up being. So today on my 3rd anniversary of marriage I'd just like to say thank you to all who helped make Rocket League what it is. My wife and I will forever be indebted to Psyonix and all who made Rocket League possible for bringing us together. Also, a huge shoutout to all of the friends I've made over the past years playing this game. Happy Halloween!
