It has been over a month since this issue has been identified and unfortunately (by no fault of the devs) they haven’t found a fix.

At this point in time the cosmetic needs to be disabled. It needs to be non-functional on Xbox at the very least until this issue has been fixed & anyone who purchased it should receive a refund.

I am someone who pretty exclusively plays Rumble and the other extra game modes so it’s pretty hard to stay away from Ranked if I want to play multiplayer, and lately I can’t play more than 2 matches without my entire Xbox crashing and turning off.

I have opened a ticket with Psyonix, multiple times and I want to make it clear that I’m not trying to rush them as I know fixes for these kinds of issues can be very hard to implement, however this is making Ranked/Competitive unplayable.

Thanks for posting and I definitely appreciate your frustration on this. After the optimizations we performed after its initial release, we've only heard from a very small number of players on the crash issue persisting.
