As a moderator of Fifa - which has more than 400k members - i am confident in saying that i am qualified to make these comments below on the moderation of this subreddit.

This sub is promising but has its issues with organization. I propose the below changes be instituted to ensure the success and continued growth of this sub.

To be explicitly clear, I am willing to join the moderator team and do all of these items personally. Unfortunately, i have yet to receive any replies from the mod team through modmail as they are probably overworked as it is.

  1. A Weekly Pinned Bug Identification and a Suggestions Thread: Have the automod post and pin a new bug/suggestions thread every Tuesday (or whatever day) at Noon Eastern time. This will allow the developers/staff of HiRez like u/HiRezRadar to review all of our bug identifications and content suggestions easily in one place. This will also clean up the sub as people don’t use the search bar before posting about the Deserters 700 times a day.

  2. Daily Themed Events: Meme Monday, Twitch Tuesday (or Self-Promotion Saturday), Fan Art Friday. These are self-explanatory and help to keep the sub less flooded with similar and specific content by restricting them to specific days.

  3. Enforcement of Established Rules: Currently, the rules are broken repeatedly by the same people. These people should be given temporary (3, 5, 7, 14, 31, 90 day) bans for repeat rule violations. Posts that violate rules should be removed as soon as possible either by the mod team or the automod programming.

  4. There should be regular interactions with the community by the moderator staff. This includes replies to modmail.

  5. Pinned posts should be relevant. The Alpha Key Request thread is still pinned. The Alpha is over.

  6. People caught scamming - with proof provided - should receive a permanent ban from the sub.

  7. The first post about a server outage should be allowed. Any other posts that are made after the first about server status should be removed entirely as HiRez has a dedicated website that outlines current server status as well as scheduled up and down times.

  8. User flairs.

  9. Other ideas? Comment them below.

Correct, very unlucky timing for me since i started moving into my new place right as closed beta hit the live servers. Between my job, the discord, stream and my new place, thing have been extremely busy. That said; i went over the applications today and we'll be picking a new mod team very soon. Stay tuned!

Also to be really fair to these guys, they got about 12 hours of notice Closed Beta was beginning. There were signs of course, but the actually go date we kept very quiet due to a number of PR opportunities requiring it. They had to move very quickly to get everything up and running.
