Hello,

As we all should know, an important update that was scheduled for this week has been accidentally released early on the Xbox platform, causing it to be out of Sync with other versions of the game. The release date for this update will have been agreed in advance with each platform holder to ensure it goes live at the same time for everyone. To cover for this mistake Hi-Rez have requested that Nintendo release their update earlier than originally planned. Unless Nintendo can rush their certification process and release the update days ahead of the previously agreed release date, the Switch version of Rogue Company will be unusable.

Now we have a situation where a problem that was introduced by Hi-Rez studios into their own game is being laid at the feet of Nintendo by the community despite Nintendo having no role in its creation.

If I make an arrangement to meet another party at a certain date and time, it is not reasonable for me to complain if I then get in touch with that party 3 days prior and expect to be accommodated immediately. Much as I would like Nintendo to expedite this update, they cannot be blamed if they are for whatever reason unable to do so ahead of the originally agreed schedule. Mistakes have been made by Hi-Rez studios and shifting the blame to Nintendo just because that is easier than actually understanding the situation is not helpful.

I’m sorry Nintendo. I’m one of those who have blamed you for this.

But why did the other platforms come through that quickly?

Don’t really know about this

Hey folks so let me add a little clarification to this since there appears to be some confusion.

No one here on the team is covering for a mistake or blaming Nintendo for anything. While they do have a longer approval cycle than other platforms, we build this into our plan for release. We didn't complain, fuss, call them out, etc...

We stated because the update hadn't gone through their scheduled process we simply could not push the hotfix out and until that happened Nintendo players could not play the game due to incompatibility. This is just simple truth.

Fortunately Nintendo was able to process this faster than normal and get folks back in.
