Actually Mod Stu said no Summer Special first in yesterday's RS3 Livestream. I don't know why is it a not "huge yikes" and not a "huge yikes specifically for OSRS". My guess is probably RS3 players are not that "yiked" by no Summer Special.
Edit: Mod Poerkie said no Summer Special, to be more precise, not Mod Stu. The context of this discussion remains. There is no "huge yikes for RS3" regarding no Summer Special. It is pretty much like a "shrug for RS3" and nobody even talked about it.

They was a Q&A session after the Stutorail till the end of the livestream. Around 1:27:00 you began to answer questions, not just about the Summer Special (1:28:36), but also on the quests and future content and competitions and such too. Yes, Poerkie said it though, not exactly you. Sorry about it.
