Earlier this year, I returned to Runescape after a 3.5 year break. I was browsing Reddit and came across a creator spotlight thread for The RS Guy. Today’s spotlight goes to Tonix RS, a lesser known Youtuber.

How did I discover him?
When I returned to Runescape, I had no clue what to do. Even worse, I got fished on a Twitch giveaway less than 3 days after returning (long story short). I was forced to restart. I looked up Youtube videos from my favorite Youtube creators 4 years back, which were Alkan, FatNooblet, A Friend and Munclesonkey. Unfortunately they have all moved on to Old School Runescape or quit making videos.
Where I found Tonix was from suggested videos on a 1-99 hunter guide. I never thought what he said was true in his thumbnail. I thought he was a clickbaiter but it turns out he wasn’t joking or bullsh*tting about his XP rates. As a hunter hater, I never enjoyed hunter more. Even after watching the entire video I didn’t understand what he meant so I attempted to contact him in game and he responded as soon as he can. He taught me what I needed to do the “one-tick trap setting method”. I remembered this was briefly mentioned prior to quitting but it worked. Guess what my first 99 turned out to be on my new account? HUNTER! It was fast as hell and not costly.
Why I continued watching his content?
He makes a lot of helpful guides for players. While binge-watching his older videos, they were hard to understand. His more recent 1-99 skill guides have been very friendly towards beginners. I never knew how fast and AFK Runecrafting was as I used to lamp that skill back then. It’s like he explains everything as if anyone watching knows next to nothing. Every other guide I’ve seen requires some knowledge but Tonix explains. He also makes insane Runecrafting money making method guides. I did his smoke runes method and made a fortune off this!

My new account is ~4 months old and already 2230 total level with a 150M bank, more money than I had when I returned. I used to dislike skilling but he absolutely inspired me to train skills fast.
I have never seen guides this informative since Munclesonkey. I just cannot get enough of what Tonix offers. He reminds me of Munclesonkey except he demonstrates more knowledge and expertise. It’s a surprise not many people in this community know him so I thought I’d bring his name to attention.
