I was doing abyssal demons when a pker came up to me with a weird looking summoning familiar and placed it next to me. For reference I’m an Ironman.
When I used hurricane with revolution it hit the familiar and instantly skulled me. I was pked for only a couple mil but I know a lot of people are risking a lot so beware!!

For visibility - We have not currently confirmed that there is a skulling issue with familiars, there are reports of several variations of an issue with familiars such as Hurricane,Aftershock,Pack Mule Familiar etc that are being investigated but currently we have not found a reproducible report of players being skulled by accidentally hitting a familiar with an aoe.
We will continue to investigate this and if anyone has any reports that can be verified please let us know.

Hey Folks! We have been chasing this issue since it was reported but currently, we cannot confirm that this issue has occurred. We will continue to investigate but at this moment we cannot confirm that familiars have been able to flag players in this manner.
If players have run into this issue I would ask them to report the situation to me here with your RSN so we can review the situation and verify what had occurred.
Have you checked the aftershock perk? I've seen suggestions that that is what's causing it.
Aftershock is being investigated, I have gotten a report that it was a factor but it hasn't been reproducible yet.
Just to clarify, when you say "we cannot confirm that this issue has occurred", does "this issue" mean skulling through a familiar and then getting PKed specifically, or getting PKed while opt-out in general?

That does not mean that it hasn't happened. It just means that they can't reproduce it. Which still means it's likely not a lie.
They are only receiving the victims information regarding the bug. That information is going to be "I got pked while in opt out." The problem is you're giving a puzzle to the same people that couldn't figure out the puzzle the first time with the same information.
If you want to recreate the bug you need to know what the abuser knows. They tend not to flaunt that to their victims.
In fairness, we're barely recieving the victims information too, they've gone radio silent! Caution still advised
Just to jump on, I entered the wildy earlier with a demonic skull equipped and it skulled me with no warning No big deal to me because I was assuming I’d end up skulled but I read somewhere that you’ll always be given a warning before doing anything that would skull you
Apologies, we believe this to be specific to entering the wildy via the lodestone, we’ll get a fix for this asap
