Currently if you mute one person in clan chat, it only works when the muted player is in game, but not if the player goes to lobby. This allows players to bypass the mute, which makes the mute iself fairly pointless. I hope JMods see this post, and fix the mute function so that it works when muted players are in lobby as well.

This was a known issue when we launched the mute feature back in July 2018, it’s something I can’t promise can be fixed soon

The mute is a small stop gap if your member wants to try circumvent that mute you’ve applied to him I heavily suggest kicking them!

Yeah I suppose you can always kick offending players, but it seems like a major flaw in the function if it can be bypassed so easily.

Can you explain why it doesn't work in lobby? Is the lobby like a different system or why doesn't it work for those players?

Thank you for your reply though.

The lobby doesn’t pull in a command I use to check if the player is muted

In short I use something called “affinedextrainfo” which I use a bit from there to return 0 or 1 if the player is muted, that command doesn’t exist in the lobby so it’ll always return 0 to indicate the player isn’t muted

Does that explain it?
