is anyone else experiencing their screen freezing while entering certain areas? i get it right before glariels tomb and on the pier going in to the waterfall whirlpool. if i click away it walks me there and unfreezes or if i right click and hover over entering the whirlpool then click dive when it freezes, i end up inside. This glitch is in a few other areas that i didn't make note of but its making a few quests unplayable and now i cant even log in because I'm sitting by the tomb. logging out and back in just causes a black screen so i cant even click away.

Edit: i got lucky and clicked the home teleport button on my black screen and teleported myself to taverly. i can play again but the screen is still frozen in those areas.

Just going to add this for you to share as well as a "fix" for players to attempt.

Attempt to delete/move/rename js5-16.jcache in your cache folder. By-default this is located in: C:\ProgramData\Jagex\RuneScape

also good to note, it's just not updating. all actions can still be preformed. if you have it frozen with your minimap visible for instance you can walk into a "safe-zone" if possible, and it'll start updating again after a short period of time.

Setting draw distance to minimum is a workaround which only makes the trigger point less likely to render. The issue will still be there, you just have more leeway before you trigger it.

This particular bug only affects a couple bunches of users when the file js5-16.jcache had to download a specific blob. If that blob already exists then it would be fine for others, otherwise it redownload with just the header causing it to corrupt.

Deleting the file while you already had an almost, or completely, full cache wouldn't corrupt this blob and download as intended.

It's a tad weird to explain, but there are people unaffected by it. lol
