I'm like many of the current players out there: I played RS back when I was younger ('04-'07), and returned now that I'm older. I completed some quests in my youth, but I was young enough where I wasn't so much interested in things like lore, and was more into leveling up skills and exploring the map with my buddies. While we did complete some quests, the ones we did were for access to specific things (such as rune platebodies).

This younger mindset of questing for content was continued when I came back to the game as I was left with just a cluster of randomly completed quests, many partially began quests, with no guide as to what was happening in the world of Gielinor, so I just kept on with the prioritization of content over lore.

I'm at a point now where I'm interested in the lore, but don't know how to regain the timeline and lost information from my frivolous questing. I see they've added a way of filtering the quests and displaying them via location and timeline which is a great start moving forward. But even so, I'm 274 quest points deep with little grasp on whats truly happening (and happened) in Gielinor. Is there a resource that I can use to catch up on the lost information? If not, what could I do to ease into the lore without getting overwhelmed?

In the quest list, you can use the drop down menu and select "Series", which will list quests by the quest series they belong to in narrative order. :)
