Feeding the Dino troughs: why did you revert it frol giving agility xp back to farming xp? It was a great quick way to get agility strange rocks and golden rocks. We already have numerous ways to get farming rocks...

We received feedback from some players that they wanted it changed back to Farming so that they get Seren spirits (which you only get from gathering skills) from Eggsperimentation.

I'd suggest auto-cycles in the Empty Throne Room, if you need a quick source of Agility rocks.

Hefin agility course is probably still a good option too - double rock chance during Hefin Voice of Seren, equip an Agility skillcape, etc. It all adds up.

DXP LIVE & Skilling Strike - This Week In RuneScape

We’re all about the skilling this week, with the return of Double XP LIVE and the introduction of new Proteans! The Ninjas are in on the game too, with loads of tweaks related to quality of life around skills. Time to get training folks...

Double XP LIVE Begins Friday!

Plus, time = credit with Nic the Trader!

Double XP LIVE is back – and with a brand new feature!

From May 20th-30th you’ll have a timer with 48 hours of boosted XP, which you can activate and deactivate to max your gains whenever and however you wish.

This time, though, you'll also be able to trade hours for credits! These can be spent on all sorts of useful items at Nic the Trader’s Store. It’s a great way to make the most of time you don’t intend to use! You can trade one hour of credit per day, so don't forget to log in every day to reap the benefits.

Oh, and while we’re talking skills – remember the new Fletching & Firemaking training we introduced earlier this month is a great skilling method after level 82!

For more details on how DXP Live works, including the new feature, check the blog.

Time To Train With New Proteans!

Introducing Herblore, RuneCrafting and Cooking Proteans

Stock up for your DXP skilling sesh with Time To Train! We’re introducing a new set of Proteans – the stackable skilling item that rewards XP relative to your current skill level – in a new Time to Train for Cooking, Runecrafting and Herblore!

Runecrafting's Protean Runes can be used on altars to earn Runecrafting XP. You'll want to visit the highest level altar you have access to, as XP rates are based on the altar used.

Herblore's Protean Shakes can be used anywhere you mix a potion to earn Herblore XP, while Cooking's Protean Protein can be used on fires and ranges to earn Cooking XP.

Note: these items will only be available from Treasure hunter, and cannot be gained from Protean Packs for the time being.

Time to Train begins May 19th and ends on May 25th.

Ninja Strike: Skilling Quality of Life

Ironman Team Dungeoneering and more!

The Ninjas have struck just in time for 10 days of Double XP with a whole host of skilling-focused quality of life updates!

Highlights include:

  • Ironman players can now join teams with other Ironman players and train together in Dungeoneering!
  • The Dungeoneering multiplier has been reworked to be less punishing for solo players.
  • Herblore gets a whole lot friendlier to train at high levels with Overload GE sets and tradeable Extreme Combats.
  • Skilling Auras have been added to Aura Refreshers.

See the Patch Notes section below for full details!

We've removed the 'Skilling Auras have been added to Aura Refreshers' line as a heads up.

This was something being investigated for this Strike but was never on the final production schedule for the Strike - sorry for not catching that in the final notes. It's a point of discussion and investigation right now though!

If you guys are okay with strange rocks from the auto-cycles, would it be possible to add strange/golden rock chance to Hefin posts?

You can only do 800,000 agility experience maximum from auto-cycles before you can never do them again, which means if you reach the cap for conventional training reasons, you get locked out of a really effective way to gather the rocks.

It's certainly possible, if the skilling council approves; I moved onto my next project a week ago, so I can't see myself having an opportunity to implement that QoL. (The project aims target my strike as a different area of focus, and I already have a deadline to meet.)

I can only suggest reporting both of the above changes you'd like to be made (adding strange/golden rocks to Hefin serenity posts; allowing autocycles to be rode for side-effects when their Agility XP is capped) as a bug through the ingame report tool, and perhaps that way it may get into our live bug pool to be actioned whenever a dev has a chance between release schedule sprints.

Hey, if you haven't already I would recommend not claiming your loot. We're investigating now.

This has now been hotfixed.

Players should find their existing items from pre-update in their chest as expected and resonant anima will only be earned ona future streak.

Note: If you started a new loot streak after update, before this hotfix, loot may now have different items in it.
