My account got cleaned some time in the last month or so. I recently got a new phone, and had an absolute hell of a time getting auth transfered to my new phone. I gave up on trying for a few days, thinking it wouldn't be a problem (and i'm sort of on a break from the game anyway). well turns out that probably f*cked me, because I logged in and about 800m-1b of stuff is gone.

After I realized what happened, I changed my password and put auth back on (i only found out after installing rs3 on a freshly built computer i put together on thursday, so the computer itself is clean).

historically jagex has never really done account restores when stuff like this happens (but i'm thinking of ~5-10 years ago jagex, idk what their policy is now), so I don't expect to get my sh*t back. but is there any way I can contact them in some capacity? I literally don't see any way to contact them directly on their website

Hey - if you go to the Support Centre, search Lost Items, you get this article: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/209366569-Lost-Items

If you search 'hijack' there's also this article: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207217595-Hijacked-account

In both cases, you can get the info you need, and a link to secure your account, within minutes, rather than have to wait 24-48 hours for a response.

We have designed the Support Centre to enable key info to be readily available, and provide links to the forms you need to utilise account recovery, self service 'fix it fast' solutions, or contact us if we can help.

In the past, when we had an open email address, we had over 14,000 emails we were unable to respond to, and the vast majority of those were from time wasters, or where players could use the self service options to sort their issue out quickly.

Best advice is to search on the Support Centre first, and we know that 90% of those who do that, find an answer to their problem, and the other 10% contact us.
