For those using the AUR package for Runescape on Arch Linux or its related distros, today's update broke the NXT client. Even without updating, the following error happens when trying to launch the game:

/home/USERNAME/Jagex/launcher/rs2client: symbol lookup error:
/home/USERNAME/Jagex/launcher/rs2client: undefined symbol: SSLv3_client_method, version OPENSSL_1.0.0

Apparently, the game now requires a version of OpenSSL that is different than it was before. There's talk about it on the runescape-launcher AUR page:

"Looks like there is indeed a mistake there, it should have been linked against libssl 1.1 instead of 1.0 (as per the dependency list), this will be resolved"

Seeing how long it took for a Linux update in general, I see this being patched sometime in 2021. For those on Arch Linux, you may want to hop distros for Runescape. Sigh :(
