It will be sad to see you go my friend, closest colleague and mentor! I will try to fill your shoes but not sure if I will be able to.
Thank you for everything

Shauny - I've worked alongside you for 5 1/2 years, and to see your progression from fresh-faced 19-year-old boy to a mature, married dad-of-one has been amazing. Whilst I'm obviously gutted, I know it's for the right reasons - you'll smash it wherever you go.
Happy birthday, mate. You just wait for the montage we show on your final live stream. It's going to be 'Thok'ing awesome.
It's hard to put into words what a champion Shauny has been for the wiki over the last 3-4 years. From the simple things like posing for pictures or alerting us about hidden updates, to massive things like the /wiki search, mechanics sharing (that perk calculator was a f**king ordeal!), and everything in between, he's been such an incredible ally for us at Jagex, and there's about a 0% chance we'd actually be working with them (and away from FANDOM!) without Shauny being Shauny. Well over half of the cool shit we've done in the last year wouldn't be possible without him.
The crazy thing is, working with us was nowhere near the top of his job description, and in the scheme of things, his work with the wiki might not even crack the top 10 of the wonderful stuff he's done for the game. He brought the same positive attitude and big-picture view to every community interaction, and then just outworked everyone...and everybody even tangentially related to the game felt special because of that. That's why you won't find anyone here (besides one angry old man) with a single bad word to say about him.
From everyone at the wiki, we love you, man. Hopefully our paths cross again some time.
Feel free to reach out to me for any wiki related things and I'll see what I can do.
I love you!
will you also be hosting streams or will someone else?
Maybe, we are talking about this. I can guarantee we will continue the Tuesday streams regardless!
Actually, based on his Twitter bio, Mod Cam was promoted to Jr Product Manager, making it just JD and Poerkie.
Correct

You'll smash it.

The thing is it’s the work you lot have put in off your own back for 14 years!
Whatever happened in the past between Jagex and the Wiki needed to change because why would we ever try to damage the relationship of this immense community resource.
That’s why I wanted to do anything I can for you lot, you all inspired me to get more information for players who read the Wiki and it was an absolute pleasure!
No.
Thank you, Shauny.
😭
It actually might be an interesting time to forego the streams, or do them less often as only Q&A or Gamejam type of stuff, and instead try to bring back weekly BTS videos (given that it sort of turned into month ahead videos because content updates slowed down too much to support a weekly BTS), going back to giving much less info about upcoming updates, talking more about the lore instead of the specific gameplay (which would fit well with the episodic content shift). The very first BTS was really good and I think many of the upcoming updates could have similar videos. The RS YouTube channel right now is just sort of stream archive+stream highlights so it would be nice to see some effort put into making content update videos similar to the old BTS instead of just copying over the stream stuff.
I would wholeheartedly agree - in an ideal world, we'd do weekly videos on top of streams, and I'm speaking to Mod Shed to see what we can do to up the content on the YouTube channel.
I know that from a production perspective though, a stream is a lot less time-consuming though than producing VOD content. We can also provide a lot more information on a stream than a video - so I wouldn't want us to produce VOD content at the expense of stream content though.

Mate you’ve made such huge steps, I have you to thank for a lot of things and I hope you realise the awesomeness of what you do. Thank you for the almost 4 years of us working back and forth!
I’m dreading this montage hahaha
Really sad to see the best mod go, but I know wherever you end up will be luck to have you working for them, best of luck for you Shauny. And goodbye.
Can I panic now?
You shouldn’t panic! I have my fingers crossed that someone can step in, this certainly isn’t a time of panic I’ve got this wonderful opportunity so I want to celebrate my time here!
Never interacted too hard with the RS community and Reddit but Everytime I was a creeping around I'd see Shauny out there being the one man QA team. You could genuinely tell he cared about the players and the game, passion cannot be replicated
Man was just trynna keep the fires lit for us and I applaud his efforts, this video couldn't have been more from the heart
Even though we've never and probably will never interact..
Thank you
I mean it’s the posts that are created that I could reply to and I loved every minute of it. Working with the wonderful people in the RS team to pester them on specific issues then we figure out what exactly has happened and then try to address it.
It’s a wonderful feeling when you can turn a crappy issue into a fix you know?
Also just a note, the QA guys work their asses off and I feel that their work goes very much under the radar, seriously they rock!
It will be sad to see you go my friend, closest colleague and mentor! I will try to fill your shoes but not sure if I will be able to.
Thank you for everything
I thought you’d fit into the RS team because you’re passionate!
First of all don’t try and fill my shoes, fill your shoes and let them take you as far as they can.
As for whether you will be able to, disregard that and just keep being amazing okay?
This Community is special and they will always acknowledge the work put in and they can already see what you’re doing!
Well this is f**king awful
I wish you the best Shauny. You've been an absolute gem for this game for years
Thank you! I’ll continue playing and I’m raring to get that glorious 120 Arch Cape!
You're one of the most responsive J-mods on Reddit. It really sucks to see you leave. :-(
I always tried to adapt an approach of if I play a game I’d love to see the people who work on the game respond to me, and I feel like when that happens it’s a special moment for that person.
I thrived on trying to post where possible and that’s the way CM should be, keeping that pulse going!
Thanks for being a great community manager Shauny! Best of luck man
Thank you so much!
Rs3 is truly f**ked now.
I disagree, the game existed for 15 years before me time will move on and I’m sure from all of this reaction they can see how important that engagement is in a game like this.
The team will continue to smash it like they always have!
Some say the value of the company was cut in half the day the community lost its champion.
Someone can step up and fill that, I know they can! I’ll do whatever I can in the last few weeks to help with that process.
can we just have a moment of silence for you, and another to appreciate that you kept quiet about this until after runefest as to not make the event sad? have a good life shauny.
People have figured it out now but my little cry at the end of the RuneFest stream was simply because I knew I was leaving.
It was incredibly tough knowing that but this game is everything to me and that event knowing how well it went was the culmination of amazing work from all the teams involved.
A cry was shared with a fair few Jmods afterwards
Goodbye Mod Shauny, you're really going to be missed around here and on streams. Thanks for literally everything you've done for this community.
I’d do it all over again. Thank you!
Shauny, you may or may not see this among the masses of "thank you" and "goodbye" posts, but me and my clan were trying to find you at Runefest to express our gratefulness for one specific thing. As we didn't manage it then, I'll make it known here.
Thank you for all you've done to support clans over your years at Jagex, and in particular, thank you for this year's BGH Clan Cup! It motivated and energised my clan, Clan Quest, in an act of teamwork unlike anything else the clan has managed in years. It was all we could talk about, that full week (and then some) -- each day we'd eagerly check on the updates you posted, spend Discord message after Discord message strategising and theorising, and then redouble our in-game efforts anew with the support of several clannies writing up extensive guides -- and all of us cheering on, whether involved in the action or on the sidelines.
In the end we came seventh, and we're happy with that. Out of all the clans in RuneScape, seventh is still pretty damn worth priding ourselves on. I know there was a lot of drama about the specifics of the top spots, but we at Clan Quest don't feel you've been given enough credit for the rest of it. That week had an incomparable spirit of collaboration to it, and it'll never be forgotten.
So, all in all: thank you! For the Clan Cup, for all you've done at Jagex, and here's to your time beyond.
I’m so sorry you couldn’t find me at RuneFest! If I wasn’t on the stream I was on the main stage, panel stage or the OPs room sorting news posts, etc!
You lot should be so proud of your placement in that Cup, I was so pleased with how it went and the fact it revitalised your clan makes me so happy!
I love you!
<3
Keep smashing it yeah?
<3
Keep smashing it yeah?
Always 😭
Thank you for being the best CM this game, company, and community could have ever wished for.
Your passion despite everything is insane and not something that can ever be replaced.
I wish you the very best in the future.
My passion came from wanting to learn, the people I worked with and seeing the frustration from posts and taking it as a challenge to try and fix them.
I hope it can be replaced and I’ll do whatever I can to help with that!
Bye :(
Thanks for putting up with us, especially whenever it was undeserved.
Undeserved or not the frustration always comes from something and thats what I thrived on, how can I help to fix the anger going on, etc
Game issue? Okay let’s address it and try and sort comms and figure out next steps, etc.
All of it I absolutely cherished and I’d do it all again if I could!
