So I made my first account in 2004 and played for about 5 years (mostly F2P). I came back to OSRS with the mobile launch and basically burnt myself out with efficiencyscape and questing.

After a month break from OSRS, I saw a mobile ad for RS3 and decided to give it a go. I had to recover my old account (used as a green dragon bot back in the day... thanks for 83 defense lol!) and basically everything was gone. Someone spotted me wearing my 2009 gear, took me to Hans, and gave me 150k for my vet cape.

Mindlessly following guides is what burnt me out on other games, so I went to the G.E. to ask for some guidance. Immediately got invited to a huge clan where everyone was so helpful. One guy even took like half an hour of his time to show me around the clan castle.

I realized how little I knew and started a new Ironman to replay quests and learn mechanics from the start. I’ve just been going through challenges, quests, and exploring the mining and smithing rework and I’ve been having SO much fun. Learning everything myself bit by bit is far more rewarding than maximizing XP/h or quest grinding for BIS gloves (kill me).

Thanks for reading- just wanted to share my perspective. 🙂
