RuneScape is coming to mobile on June 17th, 2021! For those who are stepping into Gielinor for the first time or veteran cape owners looking to play on the go, here is all of the information you will need to get started.

Installing the game

RuneScape for Mobile is available on both on iOS and Android. Thanks to your incredible support, all pre-registration rewards have been unlocked! For information on the rewards you can receive, check out our pre-registration page here.

When the game launches on June 17th, simply navigate to the store pages linked above (pre-registered players will get a push notification to alert them to the game’s release). Download RuneScape from this page, and you are good to go!

Claiming pre-registration awards

• Log in to the game on Mobile to claim your rewards
• Once you have logged in on Mobile, on any device, you can access your cosmetic rewards. Your 50% XP Buff is now active automatically, and expires 00:00 on June 24th.

How to access your Pre-Registration Cosmetics on Mobile:

• Log in to the game and enter the game world
  • Note: You must have completed the Davendale Tutorial before you can claim your rewards
• Press the Home button in the top left hand corner of your screen
• Press the Mask button on the left hand side of the Home Screen. This is the second button from the top.
• Your Customization items can be found in these menus. To best find your items, we recommend setting the filters to ‘Owned’ or used the Search bar in this menu.
  • The Soft Punk Hairstyle, Crux Eqal Armor and Crux Eqal Sword can be found under ‘Wardrobe’
  • The Magic Leap Teleport Device can be found under ‘Animations -> Teleports’
  • The Scales Animated Pet can be found under ‘Pets -> Companion Pets

How to access your Pre-Registration Cosmetics on Desktop:

• Log in to the game and enter a game world
• Click the Mask Icon on the Options Ribbon
  • This is usually located in the bottom right of your screen
• Your Customization items can be found in these menus. To best find your items, we recommend setting the filters to ‘Owned’ or used the Search bar in this menu.

What to expect in RuneScape on Mobile

For first-time RuneScape players, welcome to Gielinor! When you open RuneScape on Mobile for the first time, you will be prompted to create an account. Enter your desired account details and follow the instructions given. Once this has been completed, you will be brought into our brand-new tutorial for Mobile, set in the town of Davendale. This will help you become accustomed to the game’s mobile controls and the basics of RuneScape, such as combat and skilling. This section will also allow you to create your character. When you have completed this, you are ready to join the world of RuneScape!

Beyond this, there are other options available to players (old or new) wishing to learn about how RuneScape works. The official RuneScape Beginners’ Guide gives an overview of the game’s key features. For information on specific aspects of the game, the RuneScape Wiki is a fantastic resource with details on everything in the world of Gielinor - and can be accessed in-game! Just use the /wiki command to bring up the information directly. The wiki’s own guide for new players is another great place for new players to check as well.
