Hey all,

We'll be doing a General Q&A Tuesday the 29th of September at 16:00 Game Time.

So if you have any questions feel free to pop them down in the comments, we'll try and find the right Jmods to answer as many of them as possible.

Last time it worked quite well so I would like to ask if all you of you can put each question down as a separate comment. And if you like a question to be answered, give them an up-vote, this way we should get the best questions at the top!

See you all over on twitch.tv/RuneScape on Tuesday!

  • Any chance we can get streams where Jmods discuss various design/balance philosophies around certain topics?
  • Can Lootscape be automated to go out immediately after the dedicated stream ends?
  • Is it possible to make a timestamp table of the youtube vod of streams?
    • I can help with this.
  • Can you provide the primary hosts/guests with higher quality mics/set-ups?
  • When can we expect another data stream?

Recent Updates - D&Ds & Broadcasts

  • Why did the Effigy Incubator not incorporate Archaeology despite it using its core training method.
  • Could the 007 penguins be made easier to spot? In some areas its almost impossible to locate them.
  • Could the 'Back to the Freezer' quest increase the gp reward (previously it increased the xp reward)?
  • Could you give us the option to filter global broadcasts?
  • Can the settings interface of broadcasts be consolidated into 1 category?
  • Can we get a separate feed/window for broadcasts? (Similar to private chat)

Completionist Cape

  • Why are certain achievements, such as all GWD2 Rep, not a Comp/Trimmed Comp requirement?
  • Why are grace periods being pushed back if comp capes are cosmetic now?
  • Can we take another look at the initial comp rework design (3 tiers of capes)?

Archaeology

  • How will Archaeology work with Double XP Weekends?
  • Should Archaeology xp rates be nerfed?

Bugs/Exploits

  • Can we get status updates on highly concerned bugs and when we can expect them to be fixed/worked on?
  • Why is the bugged Bug Report interface not a high priority especially when it's functionality would greatly improve the quality of bug reports you receive?
  • Can you clearly define what is considered an exploit/bug abuse?

Hey Rubic could you cut up your questions in seperate comments so that others can vote on a per question basis?

Also by separating each question into its own comment it makes it more difficult for a casual viewer to read them all. Those at the top will always get seen and this voted, but later asked questions won’t. That’s why I delayed my comment with a list of questions.

Your goal should be to answer as many questions as you can and organize them so teams/people can answer them. If there are more questions than you can ask, hold more Q&As rather than ending a stream 30 minutes early.

It ensures controversial questions will never get asked.

To the contrary I'd say that the questions players are most keen to get answered will be more likely to receive an answer. The top voted questions are often seen as "controversial" in the players eye.

If you say controversial are not being asked because they are down voted, I would rather assume that the person isn't interested in that question being asked and that they would down vote it because they don't think it's worth the time.

On as side note we specifically asks players to only up vote in this thread, which is exactly what is happening afaik.

The subreddit mods have been very helpful to avoid this and they put the thread into randomised mode. which they've now disabled so there is transparency and we can prioritise the questions along side the other ones we've received.

We aim to provide as many in-depth and meaningful answers to questions that are gaining the most traction within the community.

You have posted a list of questions and if the community would only up vote that post because of one very important question, we would end up in a situation where we would be answering your other questions, deemed less important by the community, over others which the community is more keen to see us answer.
