What does this even mean?

Seems like an edit was missed this note should read "Brawling Gloves had no charge when received from the Wilderness Slayer Chest – this has been fixed."

Was changed last week to remove them from Mandrith's task

"Mandrith's special slayer task has been updated, no longer requiring slaying green and blue dragons, fire giants, gargoyles and greater demons. Taking their place are Acheron Mammoths, Greater Demon Ash Lords or Berserkers, Hydrix dragons, Ripper demons and Soulgazers"

They're still listed on the map under wilderness dungeons.

Thanks for letting us know, will see if we can get that updated.

Why does it feel like we are going through radio silence about upcoming updates? What is going on with livestreams, September, and death cost rework and whatever else that does not include FSW.

But also still loving the graphical update though going to Lumby and surrounding areas.

Greetings,
We are getting a lot of messages about streams and future updates. We're working on a roadmap update that we hope to release soon. I cannot provide a release date, but it will be done within two weeks.

Thanks for taking the time to say something is coming. Small step that makes a noticeable difference.

I'm glad it provided some clarity. I understand how important it is for you to understand the current state of the game, as well as what to expect and when. And I hope we can address it in the next two weeks.

What happened to our monthly headline update?

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Could you please explain?

Has Jagex decided to remove the streaming department and only make it an OSRS exclusive now?

Will a Reddit Q&A session, for example, be a good place to ask questions and get answers?

I will copy paste my message from another thread here.

Initially, we intended to release everything as a single bundle. But the more we worked with you, the more we wanted to ensure that we were on the right track and that the overrides would not disappoint you. So we decided to run this "test" to see which version you prefer. We still intend to release all overrides as a complete bundle. However, we may release single items along the way.

Giving an estimate like 'within two weeks' is brilliant and very much appreciated, but PLEASE don't follow up on that with radio silence if it happens to not be ready in time. Communication is key.

I am very transparent. We are working on it and our plan is to release it within two weeks.

As opposed to having 0 communication? Yes.

Ideally Jagex would raise community concerns in the Q&A and we would get responses, similar to what Jagex's Oldschool Runescape team does EVERY WEEK.

This was something the RS3 team used to get nearly every week as well. But then you guys stopped the communication.

Thanks for your feedback. We need to talk about it as a team and figure out how to address it.

I believe that if you purchase the entire bundle, you will receive a discount on any previous items purchased. I will double check it.

Hiring a public facing CM would be a better idea. RS3 lacks a "mod light" figure.

It's not about hiring a new CM; it's about having more active and transparent communication with you. Valid feedback. Thank you.

Mod Hooli must have the easiest CM job ever. A stream happens once in a blue moon and he is rarely active on social media.. I knew Shauny's boots were impossible to fill but woah..

Normally, I try not to engage in such debates, but I'd like to explain something. Please try to be objective and listen.

Within the Community team, there are various positions with varying roles and responsibilities. Some positions are more visible to the players, while others are more "behind the scenes". The department head is usually preoccupied with a broader strategy, whereas community managers interact with players and deliver messages from developers and other teams. As a result, I believe it is unfair to compare two distinct roles on the same spectrum.

Yes, but I’d be worried with the tension right now that it would be flaming the mods because they’re frustrated.

Yes, I fully agree. We are aware of the tension and wish to address it as soon as possible. We really want to establish the sense of one team rather than two fighting camps. So, I'm hoping it goes well and that the community asks "hot" questions without crossing the line. It will help to keep us on the right track, which means we may see more initiatives like this in the future. It's easier to face and address feedback when you know the other side is respectful.

I think whenever there's not been communication for a while and there's a lot of questions I think it might be worth while dedicating two stream slots to it as generally after a gap there isn't enough time in 1 to answer everything. Obviously there will be a lot of questions for all sorts of topics and it would likely be impossible to answer everything but going into it with the above in mind might be helpful for clearing the majority of things up.

You are correct. That is why I believe a Reddit Q&A will be an interesting variant to try. We may answer more questions.

I think a Reddit Q&A would work well, though my biggest suggestion would be to post a summary of questions asked & answers given on the main RS page news post once it's completed. That's been one of my biggest shortcomings with the current communications - players have to chase around a bunch of different social media sites to get answers/news from Jagex, rather than seeing everything neatly conveyed on the RS site. For folks like myself who generally have very few opportunities to go sifting through a bunch of different threads to find stuff, a clean summary in one expected place each time info is released would be stellar.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to so many folks' threads today, Miva! It's greatly appreciated.

Yes, I agree, having it on our website would be excellent. But players typically make those lists far more quickly than we would do.

It'd be cool to see something like "a day in the life" or "meet the jmods" type of video series, show what a typical day involves for various departments/positions, so we would have a better idea of that kind of stuff.

That's a really good idea. Although videos are the most effective format for that kind of content, I believe it will be somewhat difficult given that most of the time we work from home.

When you wrote "the department head", do you mean Mod Keeper, or somebody higher up and in that case who is that person, or his job title please?

I referred to Mod Hooli.

I don't have an answer. But I'll share this idea with the others.

Thank you for the reply, although I am very curious how Mod Hooli can stop all Jmods including content developers, executive producer like Mod Keeper, and such from communicating with the media and playerbase, especially when he seemed to be one of the most enthusiastic Jmods to stream JvM weekly content and disappeared without notice.

Mod Hooli didn't stop anyone. Are you creating a new story? :)
