[2023] Will getting the necro overrides as drops from Vorkath after the event be needed for the log?

The wording from today's news post is:

"Once the Vorkath Shard Hunt event has ended, we'll be adding those overrides to the drop table, bringing it up to 6 total items to claim (the same number as an awfully similar looking Dragon you might have faced before...)"

The other dragon they are referencing is OSRS vorkath, which has 6 items on its drop log.

I'd just like to get confirmation on whether they will be added to the drop log as well as the drop table, which would mean that if I grind out the log now it will be taken away because of the new item, or if completing the shard event will automatically unlock it on the log.
