Theres just so many other benefits and things to explore in the skill that it seems a waste to just focus in on getting the most XP possible. I'm finding myself spending a lot of time in lower level areas just to complete a collection, or solve a mystery.
I think it was a fantastic move by Jagex to have multiple ways to progress in the skill besides watching your level counter go up.

can you please make it so that you can add all these arceology pages added to the book? it taking up too much space in inventory
Are you referring to the lore pages? If so, you can destroy those as they are transcribed into your archaeology journal.
If you select to 'Destroy' them, you'll receive a warning with a message stating this (assuming that we're talking about the same pages).
Could we perhaps have the interaction be "add pages" instead of having to destroy?

They are automatically transcribed at the point you receive them. You don't need to destroy them to add them to your journal. :)
