[2019] Icefiends slayer task bugged

After reading through a very impressive patch list I was saddened to not see icefiends. For almost a month now I have been stuck with icefiend kills not counting, not being able to reset slayer count and get new task, and not having enough slayer points for a skip.

I've read some other people are also stuck and that it may be possible to do daemonheim icefiend kills? Is this possible without hp xp? Or is there any other way to get a new task?
