you seem to be running into an issue with custom cursors
thank you so much for investigating this. i do have some more info if it helps:
if i log in and wait about 5-10 extra seconds, many of the ingame objects in the world change color as if a shader has been applied. after that i am able to play the game normally again. so maybe some of the shaders just arent loading properly at first and then have to re-load after logging in, or something like that.
after this, re-launching the game again did not have this issue again unless the game was closed for several hours
You should be able to workaround by simply disabling custom cursors
thanks for the tip. i will resort to this if waiting a few seconds after logging in as mentioned earlier stops working as a workaround. not having the cursor change depending on what im pointing at feels like im playing blindfolded lol
Is there anything about your system you can think of that might be unusual relating to cursors?
nope, default windows 10 cursors as ive always used
something that might have changed if it is a recent issue
it is a recent issue, but nope nothing has changed as far as im aware
Does it still happen when OBS is not running
yes. in fact i only opened OBS to record the bug for you
Also noticed youve got several AHK scripts running, does it still happen with those all closed
good eye ;) i will test that next time my game starts acting up, as i mentioned that i need to close the game for a while before it starts happening again. though i doubt they are causing the problem as they are just macros for other games like skyrim, macros that launch various games (quite nifty to have imo), and one that has a keybind that sets any window to fullscreen borderless mode by setting the size of the window to the size of the display and stripping the boarder off (which i dont use on rs)
Do you have anything else that may be hooking into the game (screen recording, antivirus, game helper tools, overlays, etc)?
besides Alt1 toolkit, no. i will also test that next time this happens
