I was actually really excited that this mess was going to be corrected, I have seen some excellent player suggestions over the years.

Was it really just being able to lootshare in FC without adding them? Correct me if I'm wrong but most lootshare is done through the grouping system anyway. I read the patch notes twice, did I miss something? Please fill me in..

Just, for a "title update" for lack of better terms, I expected more. Rework lootshare or don't tbh but man. That felt like a bait-and-switch.

I mean, I don't think it's a bait and switch for what it's worth.

The update itself is significant, it immensely helps a step in boss masses which is a pain in the ass when it comes to adding, etc.

It's a "title" update in the scope of a patch week, instead of us just naming the news post "patch week for x" we wanted to try open the door in trying new things.

If that makes sense

I can't speak for everyone but all the masses I've been in use the grouping system. Don't need rank to kick trolls, can easily pass the hat if the leader needs to log off, LS is on for the group not just for whoever in the FC turns it on. Grouping was a much bigger step forward in lootshare than this.

For me personally, patch week x would have been better because in reading the title I thought one of the teams had taken on the real project of reworking lootshare under the hood and this was a surprise update.

Grouping's interesting, but surely creates a problem where the host always has to be inviting?

In this scenario, they can just join and toggle Lootshare on right away without the host ding anything :o
